We have been appointed by the Bristol Co-operative Gym to consider design options for their new studio at St Anne’s House. The Co-op has its own unique approach to exercise, and they hold a space that is in contradiction with the more well-known gym experience.
We started things off by meeting some of the co-op members, and leading a focus group to discuss their gym culture in more detail. Our topics ranged from individual user experience, all the way through to broader conversations around gym typologies.
We have loved working with the members to explore ideas for a space that is truly unique to them. The Co-op have now been tasked with gathering ideas in their new studio, whilst we begin to form our first proposals.
